****NOTICE****

My name is Jake Shafer and I am a home-schooled 15-yr. old.  I started to raise donations here in Alvin for the DeGeorge Homeless Veteran Shelter during Christmas 2006.   This will be my fourth Christmas to raise donations for our HOMELESS VETERANS.  The city of Alvin has become one of DeGeorge’s largest supporters and they are forever grateful to the Alvin community.

DeGeorge is 100% drug & alcohol free Veteran’s homeless shelter in which Lynda Greene (Phone: 713-224-1418, located near Minute Maid Park in Houston) manages this building to shelter 100 homeless Veterans both male and female.  This shelter is funded strictly off of donations.

We must not forget those who fought for us, are forgotten, and are still in need.  They are our Nation’s heroes who need our help.  This year, I ask you to help me again to “PAY IT FORWARD” by remembering our HOMELESS VETERANS.   Please join me again this year as I begin raising donations from now until December 20, 2009.
